Steve McCurry was a photographer that went to different countries to take photos of the situation they were living. One of his famous photos is the one I have above. I also like this photo because it shows the struggle that the girl was going through. The picture showed good lighting, blurred background, and the rule of thirds. The second photo I like is this one because it shows that the kid doesn't like all the violence around him. The photo has a toy gun , the background is an element to show that the country is in a struggle.

Reflectors are used to make natural light look better and to aim at where you want the light to be.
There are large and small reflectors and there are some that are rectangle and other circles. There are also different color like gold and silver. They make the skin color look like its gold with natural light. Something that was successful with the reflector was that we found out how to use it and aim the light where we wanted it. Something that was challenging was making it how to work. Ansel Adams is an American photographer that liked to photograph the environment. Ansel Adams iso and he made the contrast go up. I like these photos because they are nice and impactful.
Aperture: Is the lens diaphragm opening inside the camera that snaps every time you take a picture.
Depth of field: The distance between the nearest object and the furthest one. Image is judged from the focus of the camera. Shutter Speed: The time the shutter is open to when is closes Noise: Commonly used to describe the visual distortion I noticed that the higher the shutter speed that the picture is gonna have more brightness.
The higher the ISO the better the photo will come out Something that was successful was the shutter speed and the pictures I took. Something that was challenging was the Aperture and sme pictures. Something that was successful was that I took a good simple photo in which I kept the item of interest in focus and the background blurred. I also took the picture a little diagonally and not straight to add a good view.
Something that was challenging was finding something good to photograph and good lighting. This was challenging because there are not a lot of good things to photograph inside the school so I had to go outside. I think I improved my photography skills even more because when I got into this class I wasn't really good with angles and I didn't know anything about blurring the background to make the photo better. Rule 1. Fill the entire frame( be close enough to your subject)
Rule 2. The simpler the shot the bigger the impact( close to subject, using shapes, cutting out negative space, avoid clutter) Rule 3. Aspect Ratio- Find different angles to take your photo Rule 4. Lines- use lines to exemplify your focal point Rule 5. Avoid the middle!!! Use the Rule of 3rds A photo/art critique is used to analyze, describe, and interpret works of art.
Critique helps students with persuasive, writing , information gathering, and justification skills. A way people critique work is to describe without using beautiful or ugly How the work is organized , How the work makes you feel, and present your opinion of the works success or failure. |
